The staff of the Survey Research Center mourns the passing of its Director, Prof. Alan B Krueger, who died on March 16, 2019.  Alan was the driving force behind the creation of the SRC at Princeton University more than 25 years ago.  The Center’s work reflected Alan’s belief in the importance of gathering original data instead of relying on prevailing economic theory to inform discussions of policy issues. We remember him not only as a creative and innovative thinker, but also as a mentor and good friend.  Our condolences go out to his family and all of his many friends at Princeton.
